Any one got a RBS account, as most of you know Santander took over around 300 RBS branches, & customers got a letter explaining this.

With the Spanish banks being down graded, seriously consider looking for another bank account, my local HSBC, has had a run on customers changing accounts.
Even though I don't have a RBS account, my bank manager warned me to expect things are only going to get worse in the coming weeks with the RBS & Santander.

It is this sort of unsubstantiated hysterical post that starts bank runs.

That said everybody better empty their bank accounts tomorrow and hide it under the mattress - just in case.

RBS is also one of the safest* banks in the world. It will always be recapitalised as necessary by the UK government.

It took a lot more than the UK government to save RBS, that much I can tell you.

Nearly every "big" central bank in the world threw money at it. RBS was huge, bigger than Scotland and bigger than the UK could cope with.

That's globalised economies for you.

Misleading as the UK bank is doing fine.

Yes, but being associated with Santander, has had a knock on effect.
Every one has started with drawing money from rbs.

Same thing happen with Northern Rock, & don't forget the Icelandic financial crisis.

I just used the Daily Mail as it was first one up when I googled, my bank manager warned me on Wednesday & again today to avoid the RBS for a account.

No it doesn't, they are a totally separate subsidy.

Everyone? I have an RBS account, and I haven't began withdrawing money from them. In fact, I'm looking to update my account with them.

You have no idea what you're talking about. The only people who need to be a little bit worried are those with deposits of over £85000. Are you one of them?

Think about it logically, don't you think your manager would tell you bad things about the competition to make his company sound better?

Fail article is fail.

Someone catches a common cold it's the new pandemic to wipe out the human race. Hopefully fail has an RBS account and will go under! :D

Think mods should just auto lock any threads with an OP quoting the fail.
