Greek God RTS old game

Who can remember an old game im sure it was set in Greece or something like that, a desert type country and it was in the real olden days and im sure you had Gods etc

It was like a RTS, i think more focused on city building rather than battles... although battles were involved.

One of those like isometric view games iirc

The name is on the tip of my tongue but i cant figure it out

This was the first thing that came into my mind. It's isometric, you can interact with Gods, build cities, and conquer other cities.

If you liked those, try some from the Anno series as well. Identical idea, updated graphics, huge fun .
