Hi,

I purchassed a Corsair H100, installed in Antec 1200.
Having problems with profiles on it, fans are constantly running at 2600 which is max, even the profile is on low. Anyone knows how to fix it? Seems like cables are connected correctly with P7P55D-E. I was checking out other forums and looks like there is no actual solution to this, its just the way it is LOUD and not controllable by user.

Maybe anyone from technical can help? I've submited RMA to Corsair yesterday which as I know will take ages to get answer from them.

Thanks.

Eliam.

The cooler switch on the h100/h80 wont control the fan speed. The only way to control the fan speed is bin the stock antec fans and get some PWM fans and plug them into your board, then control the fan speed via bios or some software. Pressing the button on the h100/h80 and making it change to 1, 2 or 3 wont do anything, unless you have the extra corsair link commander, which you probably dont.

ok, unplug all of them.

Plug the ones coming direct from the fans into two of your motherboard headers.

Then install speedfan:

This allows you to control your fans through your motherboard :)

The fans that come as stock with those coolers, you can't change the fan speed simply with software mate. Controller would be a different story as you say

can't they?

They look to me to use the same 3 pin headers as all the fans i've used which could all be controlled with speedfan :)

I'm not 100% certain about that though

Unplugged them all,did as you said. Not working, same thing 2600rpm on low profile. Anything else. Just wondering how is that possible, that low profile is on and they still on max.

Yeah didnt work for me either, didnt know why. Buy yourself 2 gentle typhoon 1850's and remove the stock ones. You wont have that problem then. Keep an eye on your pump speed , im on my 3rd h80 in 6months they keep failing. Make sure the pump speed doesnt shoot upto close to 4000rpm, should stay nearer 2000 all the time. Corsair did tell me its a fault on them that appears on some, they where defo not exagerrating. Well the h80 should be at 2000. The h100 might be different

Mines constant at 2600,quite loud as I have all Antec 1200 fans running in the same time. Just got rid of Silver Arrow which was better on noise :/
So how it will realy make a change, will I'll be able to control profiles?

In that case I will refund H100 as it is way too loud :/ what waste of money :(

If you want to stick with watercooling, then maybe consider some of the OcUK watercooling kits?

Either that or you could get a high end air cooler.

Firstly, I'd suggest trying the zalman fan mate :)

Well i use the antec 1200 also mate so i know what you mean, are your case fans on highest speed, check the switches at the back? lower them a bit at the back if not. If you get yourself the gentle typhoons you wont hear them over your case fans, almost silent. Mine are currently on 1730 and 1735rpm. But i know exactly what your saying, when i got my first h80 the fans where ridiculously loud, and i take it you have 4!!!
