Former BBC Radio 1 DJ Mike Read described his death as a "tragedy".

Y'know, I can't help but feel that the BBC has fallen for someone's bad-taste Twitter joke, because if there's one word you quite consciously wouldn't use to respectfully describe the immediate passing of a Bee Gee, it's that.

Also: Twenty-odd number ones! Blimey, that's more than I realised. RIP Robin. And poor old Barry
