As you may ahave noticed i repositioned the pump this was because i couldn't fit my Blu-Ray player back in without a big kink in the pipe so i moved it forward on the bracked and cable tied it a lot less fiddly than then screws and bolts.

Ps while i think of it, before i installed i had a fan at back and rear, the front dragging air in and the rear pumping it out. Now i have the rad installed the fan on the rear has to be dragging it in which i have done with the included fan. Should i turn the fan round on the front of my system to pump the air out as isn't the air fighting each other, it does seem warm in my case.
Thanks

Very impressive for your first attempt :D

a few minor comments
- a lot of thermal paste on the cpu
- a lot of excess hosing, could do with some angled fittings
- get some Gentle typhoons on push pull ;)

Hi Panyan i didn't think it was that much but what do i know, in the manual they put it in a cross pattern, but from what i read a single line is best as you can get air bubbles between the crosses.
I tried shorter hose as its only a midi case but then you get kinks, so this was the shortest i could have without kinks.
So i will change my front fan to pull as its still at push?
Thanks
Guy

some of these should allow you to make straighter tubing runs and not have so many large curves: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-182-EK&groupid=962&catid=1529&subcat=1852

normally i just apply thermal paste in the standard: pea size in centre -> let cooler spread when tightening

personally i would have air coming in through the front (dust filtered) and then having the fan pull the air through the rad out the back

id also get two of these for push pull config: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FG-014-SY&groupid=701&catid=57&subcat=4

but that may be an for a later upgrade :)

tbh seeing as you have a small resevoir the lenght of tubing is adding to your volume more volume is always good. so unless you want an uber neat system with short tubes id leave it if your happy with the performance

Hi Rossi, i went back just now and put a little blob in the middle, temp wise i think it might have mad 1c different, but i understand why you shouldn't have to much, its there to fill in the imperections, bit like a gasket, but metal is a better conductor so you still want as much of the chip touching as possible.

Depends what your running at and CPU stock on i5 2500k i get average of 28c by averaging the cores in core temp and 18c looking at the CPU in Hardware monitor.
Under load using prime 95 on the stcock torture test i get 41c in Hardware monitor and average of 51c in core temp.

But if i overclock to 4.2ghz@ 1.355 v

I get 26c idle in harware monitor and average 33C in core temp.
Under load i get 55c Hardware monitor and average 65c core temp.

If your coming from stock i think you''l notice a big difference, but i had mine custom built with a Titan Fenrir heatsink and fan and they are supposed to be pretty good so my temp change is about 8-10c
Thanks

Even that is more that it should be.

Yeah but i cant get it stable much less than that, as people say not all chips are the same i may do some more experimenting.
Thanks
Just relised i had it at that voltage for a 4.5ghz overclock, all these tests with the new water cooler is getting me confused, so yeas i am running the 4.2 oc at 1.26 at the moment thanks.

The only reason I ask is because I recently installed a 240 LT EK kit which I found to be very impressive. Though I will have to look in to getting some Scythe Gentle Typhoons as I have heard goo things about them and my girlfriend has complained about the stock EK fans keeping her up. But your install looks great, nice to hear you have changed the amount of TIM though.
