the wire

Just echoing what I've said in the thread that it is dedicated to this TV show.....

It's epic! But it's not your average idiot watch. You actually have to put some effort in and pay attention, unlike a great deal of dross out there today. Lots of people are put off by the first few episodes because of the language barrier, stick with it. I think it took me 4-5 episodes in to Season 1 before it took me!

This. As well as the fact it feels like you have 20 billion characters thrown at you at first :p, well worth sticking with though.

Search forum, loads of threads on it, general consent, it's the best tv show ever made. I can vouch for that.

I was skeptical at first when I repeatedly heard people claiming it was the best TV show ever.

How wrong I was.

It truly is, for the most part due to the character development and continuation of themes and main plot throughout all of the series, whilst retaining each season's own plot.

Proud of the British actors too in this

A man got to have a code.

Great show, Charlie Brookers bit for one of his shows (screenwipe I think) was pretty bang on in my view.

It's the best TV drama made, bar none.

The first couple of seasons of The West Wing are as good, but the later ones means it loses on points. The Wire is wonderfully consistent and the change in theme for each season works very well.

I've watched it through twice, and it's definitely brilliant.

Best show ever? I'm not so sure. I didn't rate season 5 at all.

I've just starting watching it from Season 2, I've only watched 2 episodes and I'm finding it hard to tell which are the goodies and which are the baddies. :p
