Retro console and games thread

Well that sucks... I don't understand why he's stalling you from picking up what you have bought/won....

People out there can be weird, I've just learnt to accept it as a daily part of life, I even asked for a picture of the memory expansion board which could be an accelerator also, while we iron out collection details. That was ignored too. I asked if he could take it to work with him via car, 'Absolutely not!' 'I ride a Motorcycle to work 20 miles' everytime I try making life easier, I previously got slight eararch from this fella.

I offered a solution to the problem a few hours ago, if he does not wish to sell, send a cancel transaction request, however I wouldnt agree with it, still leaving him to fork out the seller fee's, as legally binding them goods should be mine.

Very nice Dyson. I'm in the market for a cheap SP, doesn't have to be mint. Can you give me any tips on where is best to look?

I've got quite a few non mint ones, i can put one up in the mm if you want one. You have to buy a lot of naff ones to end up with a few mint ones, amazing how different peoples views are on 'mint' condition...

Grabbed a few snes games to add to my collection that I missed buying when new.

Only bought the first one when the snes was out for some reason.

Nice platform game and was cheap.

Classic game, grabbed the US version as the pal one seems to be £15-20 more for some reason.

Nice, Donkey Kong Country 2. Best one in the series.

Im after Turtles In Time myself but havent found it for a reasonable price yet.

That copy cost me £24.99 including postage, little more than I'd like to pay, but it's in nice condition, some very minor label wear on the top edge, but the cart itself has no marks or dents in it and seems to be pretty much the going rate for them :(.

Pal copies seem to be going for around £40 including postage. Seen some lower, but they seem to really poor condition and some higher as well.

Great game though, switched it on just to test and make sure it was working and ending up playing for 30min :(.

Quite a few? wow! Are you a really big fan of the console then?

I am quite interested depending on the price, how much would you want for one?

I only want one to try out the Wind Walker link!

I'll pop a couple in the mm tomorrow, see what you think.

i know this isn't retro compared to some of the other gems on here, but i didnt think it warranted its own thread, so im hoping i can just tag this question on here.

I fancy getting a GC again and replaying some classics, but only just noticed that the Wii plays GC games, and the GF want a Wii. So will any GC game play on the Wii, as long as its connected to a GC controller?

I've never ran into a problem with any games, get your hands on a Wavebird controller if you haven't already though. Awesomeness! :)

Just a thought for anyone with a Mega Drive...

May I make a suggestion for connecting it up.. Get yourself one of these :)

They make it look that little better and its much easier to find the program and get the thing working :D
I have 4 or 5 Mega Drives with various add on's (32X or Mega CD or both!) and I use this and it makes it look so much better!! :)

Technically bought one of them.

But had to opt for the above as the one you mentioned wasn't available when looking :(

 The quality on my LED TV is amazing. I can see every pixel :p

Don't come back making us jealous lol.

I need to attend a few car booties.

It was bloody terrible!

The only thing interesting was 5 atari 2600 games, but with no atari 2600 it was pointless. It's supposed to be a mammoth boot fair which was great if you wanted knackered bits and bobs, the odd broken toy and a pot of nails!
