Best card for £100

Hi All

I don't care if it's Nvidia or AMD, just something cool, quite and great performance. Sick to death of my gf's PC being rubbish grqaphics wise

I'd recommend these for a £100 budget:

Overclocked: MSI HD 6850 OC £83.99 This Week Only

Possibly quiter and you can overclock it yourself MSI HD 6850 "Dual Fan Edition" £89.99

I can confirm the 6850 is a great card, I've been using mine for around 18 months and never had a problem. Temperatures are good, overclocking headroom is great and best of all it performs quite well. I can play BF3 and Skyrim no problem but don't be expecting to max out the graphics a moderate level will achieve a nice fps.

You might be able to pick up a good bargain on the MM. Might get lucky and get a 6950 or gtx560 for around that.

Or on the *** or something as 6950's are quite frequently going on the *** not so much on the MM

No mention or hinting of auction sites please!

6850's sound about right to be honest (But i trust the MM way more then ebay )

I don't want something too powerful, it's just that her current card is so serverly underpowered it stuggles with 1080p MKV's in VLC and Street Frighter has to be running at 640x480. LOL!

I take it the GF's PC is modern enough to have decent processor and a x16 PCI-E slot?

Assuning the PSU is up to it she should be fine with a nice HD 6850 then
