Instead of doing old fashioned barbell squats, why not just go on a centrifuge machine like fighter pilots train on... but with your feet faces "out". Then when you get up to a certain number of Gs you start doing body weight squats.

To adjust the "weight" you simply change the speed of the centrifuge machine.

I think this just may be the future of weight training.

I like it. One or two practical and financial issues to overcome, but still.....it has potential.

lol.

The future of body building will be some kind of regulated synthetic drug. But even then you will still need stimulus to the muscle to promote growth.

OR, it's those pathetic electrical ab workout kits, they work you know, they're really good, they should be developed for every muscle, make a giant electrical suit that you can sit in and get electrocuted...

Then when you get out, you'll be like Stallone.

Apparantly the university of california already had this idea and has an experimental machine. I would buy one. I think you could adapt it to almost any exercise, except you dont need any weights just your limbs. And you get a whole body contraction for every exercise.

Can i just be serious for a second here.. What the **** is wrong with you?

Exercise will be redundant eventually, right?

When we exercise the effect we're looking for is consuming calories and/or encouraging our bodies to change.

There's no reason why in the future you couldn't have a machine tell our biceps to increase in size, or our bodies to burn the fat stores etc. We just don't know how to at this point, but as medical science advances we'll be able to directly command the human body to do things.
