LinkedIn Hacked ?

I use 1Password.

It's not as featured on Windows, as the mac client, but still excellent. My database is synced across devices (PC, Mac and iPhone) and I have an app on my iPhone for on the move.

It costs more than Lastpass but it blows it away.
 
Well I've sorted lastpass out on my pc and phone the only problem so far is you have to go through the lastpass app to websites? Maybe I'll enter the passwords manually for common things like Ocuk and store them in browser.. Dunno
 
Any good Mac clients that sync with Dropbox?

Edit: That doesn't cost £35!! How is a password manager worth £35?!?

It's £35 one off. You can blow that on a night out :p

Its one of the best mac apps around. I got it on offer though.

Depending on what browser you use, there may be a plugin available. For example I use the Dolphin browser on android and that has a lastpass plugin.
 
keepass has a chrome plugin which works really well, I've even linked mine into truecrypt

I'm also not on the list, phew ;)

I use gmail, so my android phone is already linked to my gmail account to have access, and when I go to check email on the gmail webpage, lastpass logs in like any other page.

Applications outside browsers are a little bit of a pain when using unique passwords, but I always have a browser open so it only takes a couple seconds to copy to clipboard the pass I need for a non-browser application.
 
I might just make my hotmail and facebook something that i can also remember then. So you copy the passwords as text from dolphin then? I guess i'll have to use that as you cant seem to copy them from the lastpass app unless i'm missing something.

This isn't as simple as i expected it to be :p

In the lastpass app you can just click and hold on an entry and you get all the options, such as copy username, copy password, copy url, and 1 very nice one which is add to notifications which gives you 2 new notifications which stay there until you clear them, click 1 and it copies the password, click the other and it copies the username. There are lots of handy features in Lastpass, but ease of use when accessing applications that lastpass doesn't have a plugin for is a little slow than using a known password. The huge security benefit, and being able to easily keep secure notes that I can copy and paste later and all the other useful features more than make up for the inconvenience though.

I think someone should make an official password advice thread, linking to things such as GRC and lastpass, explaining them, tutorials for setting up and so on.
