Recommend me an MMO

The problem is it's another rpg and there's been far too much focus on RPGs in the mmo genre and it's starting to stagnate. MMOs need to focus on another sub genre for a while to get some fresh ideas into the market. I'm sure gw2 will be good but i'm far more interested in planetside 2 and firefall (mmofps) and end of nations (mmorts) as I've OD on rpg and need something new.

Yes, MMOFPS, I would love a MMO version of UT2k4+Ballistic Weapons.

Ever played GW first time around? Go back and get 30/50 HoM and beyond for all the titles and items. If your new you can get 30/50 for all the items pretty easily, if you played a fair bit in the past you could already be pretty close to 50/50 or GWAMM and those are titles that will really set you apart in GW2. Its too late at this point to go for GWAMM Id say but if you really pUsh yourself you could get 50/50 HoM.

Lord fo the rings online is one of the most enjoyable I have played - plus the fact its free to play now.....

With Sleepery - nobody will care other than those with the items/titles to be honest, it's always the same.

OP - I'd suggest trying to snag a beta key free (some get offered around the beta weekend times) for Guild Wars 2 or wait until it's released and trials are on offer, that could be next year though if you don't want to pre-purchase for a beta key. Lot of money for an MMO even if it has no monthly fee.

Other than that there's nothing i'd recommend, UO is a pale shadow of it's former glory and looks terribly dated as does the only other decent MMO (in my opinion) Dark Age of Camelot which is/was hugely under appreciated by gamers.

TERA is good fun. I'm not going to lie there have been a lot of people quit the game due to being bored and also the exploiting they didn't really sort out which has now been fixed.

TERA is the longest I've played a MMO in about 12 years, I love the combat in it. I put the reason I'm still playing it down to the fact my guild and me are always fighting other guilds, we always have guild vs guilds on the go and we annoy so many people we always have about 6 + wars going. Most nights we spend hours roaming around different high level maps and kill everyone we come across. So I guess it depends what you're looking for, there is a huge RNG factor in making your weapons better and plenty to grind also if you're in to PvE.

Here is some end game PvP - not sure about language as only watched without volume. The below is not a guild war just some guild we decided to attack, we were out numbered and near a safe zone and they just kept coming back so eventually we had to fall back but was very fun all the same.

The fact you have to aim really separates good players from bad players as some people you gank just can't hit you due to their poor aim.

I'd also kind of +1 D&D Online, but with a few reservations - it's really just a giant lobby with a load of co-op adventures. But they're very, very entertaining when played with friends, much more so than your usual mmo instance. The character system is also inspired, blows away every other mmo out there.

Never got into it but I might give LOTRO another try with it being f2p. See if I can get into this time.

Actually does anyone play WAR? I heard its good pvp endgame (I hated it but might perservere for decent pvp)
