our old 12 year hotpoint machine has been dying slowly
first the machine was making v loud noises (bearings prob gone kaput)

now when we turn machine on the whole houses electricity turns off

I understand hotpoint are on the decline

I look the look of miele and bosch
but any particular make in mind?

could spend £300-£400 if need be!

Either buy a miele or IES with 10yr gaurantee or just buy any old cheap disposable machine.

A 'top of the range' hotpoint/indesit/bosch etc is still made of the same crappy components that break as their cheapest model, just with more bells and whistles on.

You couldn't be more wrong if you tried with regards to Hotpoint, Indesit and Bosch.

As for Miele, if you have to money to blow then fine, but you can save hundreds of pounds are buy a LG washing machine and have a real quality product.

the OcUK recommendation would be anything from Miele. the only extra info i can add to that is to avoid the indesit moon, because it turned up on watchdog a while ago for making the clothes dirtier than when they went in
