Hi all,
I was on my girlfriend's ebay account a couple of weeks ago and saw something I liked so bought it - just a £5.99 Jenson Button print.
Well the other day I asked my partner what had happened to it as it was supposed to have been sent by now.
We went onto her ebay account and messaged the seller, asking him what had happened to it.
To which, this morning, we received an email from him saying that he had checked the tracking number and it says:
Your item with reference ************* was delivered from our ******** Delivery Office on 29/05/12 .
Thank you for using this service.
You can now see the electronic Proof of Delivery for this item by clicking the button below.
I've clicked on the proof of delivery to reveal a signature that is NOT my partners at all.
It looks like a 5 year old has written the surname out in spaced big letters whereas my partner's signature is italic and a lot more grown up looking.
We are very upset about this, that someone else has taken our post - paid for belongings ... it's basically stealing and fraud isn't it ?
I've tried phoning the sorting office but as it's a Saturday I think they're now closed. Is this the best thing to do? I've messaged the ebay seller to let him know of what's happened - that neither myself nor my partner have signed for it and that someone else has.
Will Royal Mail have evidence as to which property it was delivered to ? I feel like pressing charges against this scumbag.
Thanks for your advice.
