England v West Indies Test/ODI/Twenty20 Series ** Spoilers **

Is it bad that I am struggling to find sympathy? Obviously drink driving, ran away from the police when caught, ends up dead? Admittedly it's sad and it's a waste of life / talent but... am I being heartless?

I can see your point but on the other hand a 23 year old is dead through a tragic accident.

Cook has had a SR of around 90 since being made ODI captain

Today showed why Bell should have been opening in ODIs long ago. I seem to remember suggesting a one day side last yr which looked like that today, but with KP instead of Bopara.

Bell has failed to convert scores into hundreds in the past, but his average in England is very good (around 42 I think) and his career average of around 34 is higher than that of Jayawardene who is a similar player but plays up the order. It was ridiculous last year when he ended up batting around 5-6 in the ODI side when he was in such good form!

Wow, can't believe that Mahela's average is comparatively so poor for a player of his undoubted class. Sure I remember him playing some stunning ODI innings as well so he must have had some distinctly average runs as well.

Still one of the top, top test batsmen though and an absolute joy to watch when he's in full flow.

Both Cook and Bell look to have really changed their One-Day game in the last year, they are both starting to score runs at a much faster rate than before yet neither of them are playing "risky" shots. If the likes of Trott and Bopara follow their example we could be one of the best One-Day teams around.

This game looks like it could be an easy win.

England starting to not look like a completely inept one day team - what is happening? Whatever is happening, I'm sure that it's the fault of the IPL :p
