Dizzy you'll always be a part of my childhood, you damn annoying egg :D

Used to play it back in the day on my Amstrad CPC464. Great game, utterly dreadful collosion detection. The latter led to a lot of screamng and Cheetah 125+ joystick throwing :)

I stopped playing the series after Fantasy World dizzy though as it was always a very long game to play through.

CPC464 player here too. Spellbound Dizzy drove me ******* nuts and I never did complete it!

My favourites were Treasure Island Dizzy and Prince of the Yolkfolk. Best 2 IMO! :D

Ah, the era of "sole guy\girl in bedroom making mainstream video game".

Speaking of the original 1980s Atari, did it bother anyone else that Infrogames changed their name to exploit the Atari heritage?

Do Codemasters own the Dizzy IP lock/stock?

Did not realise that 50% of the Codemasters games back in the day were by the Oliver twins.

Oh my days. Which one was it that had you jumping over a dog to get its bone? I want to say Fantasy World Dizzy. I'm sure I had it on the Amiga 500...

Xbox Ahoy did a lets play of one of the Dizzy games a couple of months ago on his Retro channel (RetroAhoy) if anyone fancies a bit of nostalgia without the pain of actually playing the games. Can't link as I'm at work but it should be easily searchable.

Back when most games had sod all game saving and very few used special 'codes' to save your point in the game :) Matchday II was one such title - sod Fifa :)

That was Fantasy World Dizzy.

I used to play these on my 48k Spectrum. It take ages to load, and crash mid game if the power cable got breathed on!

I've only ever played Dizzy and Treasure Island Dizzy when they first came out!, tried them all now though :)
