My 18 monthly contract with T-Mob is due for upgrade in November, and as much as I love my SGS2 and don't really want for anything else, I might as well take advantage of an upgrade as this phone only cost me £10 to upgrade to last june. So what is on the horizon that anyone knows about that could be worth upgrading to?

I think the Note is too big tbh, much as a larger screen is always desirable. So I assume Note2 will be the same size. Nexus could be interesting, is it quad core?
As far as I know there's going to be 5 Nexus devices, and the iPhone 5 of course. I'd put money on it being a tie between the S3, the best Nexus device/s, and the iPhone 5 - depending of course on what your priorities are as usual.

iPhone and a big wave of W8 phones which might interest you. apart from a nicer screen there isnt much more a new phone would offer you.
Yea, I like the styling of the sony phones I have to say.
Very true, my phone offers everything I need really. There was a time with phones when we wished for certain things, but every phone now is quick, slick, and has more goodies than we'll ever need. I will never buy an iphone, nice looking as they are. Unless the iphone 5 has radically changed, they're heavy, the screens are average size compared to mine and later phones, and I prefer android anyway.
W8 phones could be fun. I'll have to see what the concensus is on here with those, if they're as good or better than android. The S3 obviously improves on mine but it's not different enough to be of interest. Should be fun checking out what's available come xmas time.

Agree, getting to the point where upgrades are bringing less and less to the table
There's zero chance of that.
It'll be approximately 4", so perhaps a bit small compared to the other phones but I'd consider that to be a decent size overall.
There will be plenty to look forward to come the end of the year with that lot.

The ip5 mock ups look way too boring - will be funny if that's the real design!

Is that 5 Nexus thing actually confirmed? I thought it was just a rumour.
I sort of like it but I'm not sure about the 2 tone colour thing, I just can't see them using that, it looks odd.

I have a S2 and a 4s, and tbh new phones just dont excite me, they look nice (one X) and have great screen which I would definitly like but it is not worth £500 or so.
