Is this a good wheel to use with this?

Think it's around 100, not looking to spend more.

Sound sound. Just ordered a sub to iracing and downloading it now. £7.70 for 3 months isn't too shabby. Will be playing it tomorrow with my ps3 controller and will probably order the above wheel sometime this week if all goes well.

You'll ruin the experience for yourself playing with the ps3 controller , imo best wait untill you get your wheel

Heh I've ordered the wheel but already played on a practice with an mx-5 and had a bit of a mare changing gears with it. Playable though, but the handling is quiet awkward with the analog sticks, not much precision. I imagine forcefeedback and a wheel will help more with this.

It's quiet difficult and confusing setting up a practice lap though in a car. I tried to race that fast cadelic but it says I need to buy a track... then I switch to another car and it says I need to buy a track. So I switch to a track I have and it says I need to buy a car....

It can all be a bit confusing at first, basically you get the following cars:-
Pontiac Solstice
Legends Ford '34 Coupe
SCCA Spec Racer Ford
Mazda MX-5
Streetstock
Cadillac CTS-VR

and the following tracks for free (well as part of your subscription):-
USA International Speedway
Lanier National Speedway
Lime Rock Park
Oxford Plains Speedway
Summit Point Raceway
South Boston Speedway
Charlotte Motor Speedway
Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca
Centripetal Circuit
Thompson International Speedway
Okayama International Circuit

I would just join one of the MX-5 Open Practice sessions if I were you, Okayama International Circuit is the current rookie one, but that will change on Tuesday.

The Lotus 79 is superb better than i expected and I was expecting it to be brilliant. Soons I got some more spare change to throw at Iracing Its top of my buy list.

Recommend it to all of you. Leaves you with a smile the size of a Rainbow. My New favorite car.

I spy someone else that's been testing for iRacing this weekend. It is great isn't it - especially on Oulton Park. It's on my list as well.

Yeah MrB I've just been on that track with the MX5 and lots of spins and exploded gearboxes :D

Never used gears before in a game, nor driven a car before so just starting to get used to it. Getting a feel for the correct gear in each corner is dawning on me now as well. Can't wait for my wheel to arrive so i can play with others.
