Car damaged from hail storm, car insurance advice please?

You could always take the payout and buy the car back, you really need to calculate your insurance increase with a claim against your name.

I know my Churchill multi-car insurance does not allow me to take my car on track days, and specially listed(as on a technicallity it's a toll road) the Nürburgring track :p

As for hail / adverse weather conditions. Not a clue how/if I'm covered on fully comp

Near Melton here, tons of cars with smashed windows, my windows are fine but there are lots of dents :(

Affected tons of people.

probably write it off if the roof/shell/bonnet/boot is all dented :(

hopefully they offer you it back at scrap value

would definitely buy it back in that case! Fingers crossed.

here a pic "borrowed" from a friend on Facebook

Pretty much all standard policies will specifically exclude the Ring these days.

"most probably go as fault" Obviously the the OP will have to claim against his own policy, who else's could he claim from?

if the claim is viable, if the damage is less than his excess they wont deal with it, hence the most probably go as fault :)

Just had a proper look at the damage and the bonnet is ruined, little dents all over it, same with the roof, front wing has a massive dent in it, same with the rear. My ZS is only worth about a grand on a good day, if I were to claim I'm sure it would get written off and then I would lose no claims I guess. I guess I'll have to live with it..

It looks like someone has pelted it with a machine gun. This guy I work with bought a BMW 320d estate a few weeks ago and its ruined now, at least my car is slightly disposable :/

This was on my work grounds, golf balls everywhere, the wind was blowing everything sideways including this tree.

snap!

Hinckley-based, new 320 Sport smashed to buggery. roof and bonnet took the brunt, but i think every panel is gone tbh.

There's the slim chance it might be written off apparently, on hold with the insurer now.
