AMD 12.6 official beta

see what I mean about amd and their confusing updates, then people (rusty) go of on one and throw hissy fits

There should be once source for drivers and beta drivers and that should come from AMD only with a numbering system that doesn't make you second guess whether the one you're upgrading to is newer.

Please no more of this unofficial drivers with open gl, 2d and 3d versions which are lower than the official amd stuff.

i don't understand why people are getting confused really

nothing changed really, they just not release a WHQL driver every month. but releasing more beta/preview/hotfix drivers...

example just because we are in the 6th month doesn't mean there can't be a beta/preview driver of 12.7 or 12.8.

Hissy fit? Hah. Don't flatter yourself. Your post was:

"AMD's drivers are bad"

Which is going to stoke the fire so to speak.

you're reading inbetween the lines and applying your own spin. Where did I say AMD drivers are bad? Read my post again, I said their numbering system is ****ed up which nobody will disagree with as it is confusing as hell.

Go to guru 3d and there are two 12.7 betas, according to the posts the earlier ones would make you believe that it is newer than the latest one.

You want to go to nVidia just because AMD's driver numbering confuses you? Wait for official releases then.

Nothing like reading the lines - interpreting your post for what it is.
