FPS, although there's nothing new coming out that I'm really tempted by (still haven't tried Tribes: Ascend yet, will prob give it a go soon).
Used to love Virtua Fighter 4 on the PS2 and wouldn't mind picking up another beat 'em up, but never really enjoyed any others. Shame the series isn't available on PC

As a WoW veteran I had to vote MMO despite no longer playing.
RTS and RPG also. (Total War, Skyrim, Diablo, Company of Heroes).

Games with a stealth element, e.g. Metal Gear Solid, Splinter Cell, Thief, Silent Hunter, Stalker. Fallout3/Skyrim if playing as a rogue type.
WW2 games in general across a range of genres.
Space strategy/sims, especially if it makes you fell like you are "there", like the X series.

If I already voted on one genre, and entered my poll vote, there is no way to vote on others is there?
Probably RTS first because I like getting into them, then FPS and Fighting games as they are quick and easy pick up and put down games but at times a bit competitive and stressy. After that Probably platformer/adventure or something.

Survival Horror or atleast horror fits in a huge amount of genres!. Take my choice for example Adventure, I prefer horror adventure titles such as Black Mirror however cute adventure titles are a no no

What would the original Resident Evil's be considered as? I've never even thought about this yet I've always been a huge fan

I really need to go bed at a decent time, well I need a job really, its crazy how unemployable being an ex student with little experience makes you.
If you want I can do a little work on compiling any genre you've missed out and then a mod can enter them into the poll at a later date?
RPGs/MMORPGs have always been my favourite, but I do love the occasional RTS/Adventure game (Toonstruck/Monkey Island/Day of the Tentacle/Shadow of the Comet type ones that is). These days I find it hard to play a game that isn't an RPG or doesn't have RPG elements, unless it has an incredible storyline, or great art direction and such.

I prefer older games though,I'm talking back in the PS1 & PS2 times....they don't make games like they use too.
Cant stand sport games,Racing,Boxing...football etc....too repetitive.
