Does anyone still use 32bit?

There's still not much reason to use 64bit is that other than for more than 4gb ram?

It's far less than 4GB by the time you take into account size of ram on modern GfX.

People with pre-installed computers will almost certainly be 32bit.
Lots of 64bit software out there now which will run faster.

The reverse of this statement would be - why not use 64bit OS? There's very little performance drop of a 64bit OS using 32 bit software and you get to use 64bit software natively.

XP here, expect I'll have to change it soon enough though. Can't be bothered to learn a new OS!

I still run a 32-bit version of Windows 7 on my laptop. Will change it to 64-bit whenever I wish to start fresh.

32 bit at work all the time

think about XP it has been around for ages!
prob one of the best operating systems of all time

Nope, x64 bit on my work laptop, x64 bit on my i5 2500k rig, x64 bit on my HP microserver

I still know people that use 32bit though, but few and far between, and generally older machines or machines that just dont need more than 4gb ram.

I know somebody who still uses 32-bit. My mate has a PC with 8GB RAM in it and refuses to move off of XP because "It's better".

I thought a 32bit OS couldn't address / utilise > 4gb so isn't 8gb in a 32bit system overkill and quite possibly useless ?
