Steam Summer Sale Confirmed

The annual summer sale on Steam has become a significant enough event that there have been murmurs of concern from the gaming community because Valve hasn't been talking about it. A post to the Steam Users' Forums by Valve's Mike Blaszczak should offer the necessary reassurance: "We are planning a sale sometime this summer. Hope that helps!"

Well Killing Floor have started their summer event, and that usually overlaps with the sale, so it can't be long to go now.

GoG's Battle of the Games sale was worse than Steam's daily deals. Just sayin'

Just mentioned it since I did get one game from it and it's the only other sale I've followed outside of Amazon, which I got several from.

I waited, then went elsewhere that sold Steam codes at discounted prices (e.g. Amazon.com)

Tbh next week seems to looks like it's a good chance, no new releases for two weeks which leaves open a nice 7-10 day slot of deals!
