what many cant seem to grasp is the simplest of things about this thread is you are labeling a very large group of people as thieves law breakers and so on

if we altered the word gypsy or traveller for any other people be black white Chinese Pakistani it would be shut down instantly . that is all that needed saying .

yet for some strange reason travellers who are a protected ethnic group by law can be talked about in such a derogatory way :confused:

you cant say this and that travellers arnt a ethnic group not racism it is they are protected under law lol . so it is just a thread of racism against travellers .

the situation is unfortunate but things like this happen . deal with it wisely and just contact the council who will get them moved on in 24hrs simple.

I'm pretty sure most gypsies aren't the ones that are classed as a race...

Even then, being declared a race shouldn't hide what they really are.
 
If there are any 'proper' gysies left, I bet they pretty ****ed off at the scumbag bunch of scruffy thieving ***** who mascaraed as gypsies when in fact they're just criminals in caravans.
 
It wouldn't be so bad if the ones round here didn't make such a bloody mess and create havoc every time they had to leave. i'm sure some of them are friendly but when you're cutting padlocks to get in to a school playground only to be forced the next day to move by the police does it not make sense to find a more stable place to pitch up.

The thing that annoys me is they clearly aren't short of money. Why don't they plan ahead a little and book a camp site etc. Oh yeah, the whole mess thing.

You cannot choose your ethnicity, these people choose their way of life.

If we said all Irish are thieving ******, then yeah, but in this instance we are referring to how they live their lives, not what their genetic makeup is.
 
Its funny how some people insist on being politically correct even when the group in question blatantly deserve their reputation....

For example travellers get the reputation because they ARE violent, uneducated etc etc. They do not get that reputation for no reason...

Some people then come into the thread defending them and being all politically correct... If "travellers" were peacefull quiet people and never caused any problems they would not have the reputation which they have earned.

A farmer round our way made that mistake about 18 months ago - he won't be doing that again in a hurry. The ****** repaid his trust by causing trouble in the village pub and allowing their kids to repeatedly steal from the local shop. At least one of the local stables was 'cased' under the guise of offering to tarmac the drive. The entire village was on lockdown for a fortnight.

Yeah, nothing wrong with travellers, is there :rolleyes:? They are the human equivalent of vermin and you know what we normally do with vermin :mad:

Oh, and would all the apologists/do-gooders saying that a ***** driving slowly around an estate isn't necessarily up to no good please take their heads out of the clouds and visit the real world instead of their liberal Utopia? That's precisely the same kind of woolly-minded thinking that says teenage thugs are just misunderstood ...
 
I have had nothing but negative experiences of travellers and from that form my view of them as thieves, wasters and a drain on a society in which they take a lot and give as little as possible. If any of them, at any time, want to change the perception I have they are welcome not to take things without permission, to move on from using peoples fields as an illegal camp-site and to not dig an open sewer in the fields of my friends.

Any time they like and perhaps I will change my opinion.

It seems to me that no one should ever, ever use their race or ethnic group as an excuse for anything. While we should respect other cultures, a culture based on freeloading and theft can hardly be seeking respect.
