Bring back from the dead

My dad.

Or if I can't have him back then Freddie Mercury. Such an entertainer.

Or Osama bin Laden just for the giggles and the look on Bush/Obamas face when they find out :D

Excluding family members, Kenny Everett. Such a funny guy, a real wireless person who also did well on the telly. I have some recordings of his old radio shows and they were perfect, absolutely perfect. I miss his comedy so much.

Agreed - the Kenny Everett Show was the Monty Python for my generation when I was at secondary school - the man was an absolute lunatic. You know you are witnessing comedy greatness when even the film crew are ******* themselves laughing.

On a more family-orientated level, then it would have to be my Dad. He and I had a number of years where we didn't get on - I blamed him solely for my parents divorce - but we'd got past all that only for him to be taken away before his time. There's a massive hole in my life where he used to be and there isn't a day that goes by when I don't think of him in some way or wondering "What would Dad do in this situation?".

I miss the simple things the most really - like just going out for a beer with him and larking around ... him, my bro and me used to laugh ourselves stupid when there was beer involved. Same stupid sense of humour :D

It is, was and always will be a source of great anger and bitterness to me that he did all the things we're advised to do: hadn't smoked since 1968, drank in moderation, ate healthily, cycled everywhere - he was as fit as a bloke in his 60s could be. Yet he was the one struck down by cancer, instead of some overweight, chain-smoking, couch potato - where is the justice in that?

Sorry for the rant :(

^ Good shout on Kenny Everett, submile stuff and comedy never got quite as good after he left. His personal life was very roller coster as well. he had a very close relationship with Cleo Rocos and sometimes it seems that even through he was offically gay she was more then just a beard at the time.

My cousin who died of breast cancer in her early 40s. She was my closest relative outside of my parents but more importantly her son who was about 13 at the time totally ****** up his life over recent years and his mother being around could may be help :)

Queen Victoria - it wouldn't be such a shell shock for her, since most of the Public buildings, Monuments, Parks, Schools, Hospitals, Roads and Houses would be familiar to her albeit in a slightly worn and increasingly decrepit state.

Think she would be rather surprised at the lack of Navy ships, Army staff and an Empire though.

Jesus. Then he could bring back all the people that were taken too soon.

Not sure if serious.

OnT: I've been lucky enough not to lose that many people in my life, so if can only bring back someone who I actually remember I guess my girlfriends brother, or my old dog?

My Mum, died 2 years ago, first person I've lost and to cancer as well, horrible disease.

If non family member then

Julius Caesar I loved reading about ancient Rome and hes one of my favorite historical figures.

or Oliver Cromwell but probably Caesar.

My old dog speck, because i never got to say goodbye.

Personally i wouldn't bring anyone human back because then someday you know you have to go through the pain of losing them again (or vice versa)
