iRacing

Err, not at the moment - but that might be due to my lack of skills. I can detect a difference in the braking, absolutely. I haven't seen a fall in my times at the moment, but maybe I'm overdriving at the moment, because I want to go faster.

I think it will improve my driving, probably just need to get used to it, but then I've been thinking that I just need to get used to iRacing since I joined in January! ;)

have you used leo's calibration tool???

bump for MrB fingers hovering over buy should I buy the cable ? or buy Barber Motorsport so I can race Radical and Lotus this week. I'm waiting for your thoughts on this cable.

Barber imo, fun little track, whilst the bodnar cable really isn't 'necessary', but then I guess you could argue that Barber isn't either :p

How'd it go for you over the weekend? I did a few races with your set, just dropped tyre pressures and increased fuel, was capable of low 21's in the race which isn't too shabby, shame about the driver :p started off with a win and then it went downhill rapidly...

Cheers might buy it then as both the radical and Lotus are there this week really getting into the lotus now and got some good speed in it at mossport.

Oulten was hit and miss only got to do two races one was terrible rammed on second lap ended up off track 3 times due to Jessie mash and his lag. Took 4th in my second hardest 4th ill ever get 45 minutes of a car sat no more than .7 off my backend total faith in each other. Crossed the line 0.3 seconds ahead of him. Its races like that, that soon make you forget about all the bad ones.

Real life got in the way unfortunatly this weekend. Glad you liked the setup no lots used it this week and got some good results with it. But really didnt get the time to race or improve it. 1:22.0** was my best had a few laps .3 to .5 up but loose it at the last bend doh.

Well, I'd probably go for the cable. It does make a difference, just wasn't the kind of major change that I'd hoped, but as I said before, maybe that's due to my limitations rather than the hardware.

Having said that the Barber track does look good - I found myself wondering about buying that, as I'm getting closer to having my first Radical run out - I can currently do several laps and keep it on track most of the time! ;)

Ok cool think Ill go with the cable, as at Oulten and Suzuka my brake really let me down, hopefully this fixes that issue. Flying at every other part of the track but the two heavy braking zones i'd loose time.

Am i reading this right theres a blanket 4.99 delivery charge no matter where in the world you are ???? Is that right ?

How you finding the bodnar cable in the end? (assuming it arrived), you missed a fun track at Barber, not so much racing, only 3 official in the end (tried for about 4 I think and got 1 :()

I blame Gravey, of course. :p

I keep saying it but really should try the Lotus, is there a school like for the Radical?

I think my sub runs out in a week and I'm not going to renew for a few months. I need to set aside some time to play the shed load of unplayed/unfinished games in my Steam account.

cheers skill love you 2.

sorry not been around or racing but RL really bad right now and im moving back home to yorkshire, but this means ill have no space for my rig so i wont be racing for a while, i might be able to but it will be single screen setup and i dont know if ive got a suitable desk to clamp my wheel to...

Bought a sub a while ago on some offer, only really had a proper go at it in the last week or so. Hoping to move up to D license in Road and Oval before next season but not sure what to do once the new season starts. I've only done a couple of races on either side, mostly just hanging back being patient and making places when the wrecks happen ahead of me.

In a way I'm wondering whether to just race on in the rookie series for a full season to learn more about iracing, race craft etc and hope not to have to buy any cars/tracks. Or try and race in something like the Street Stocks (which I'm enjoying atm and I think is getting a D level series next season) or focus on road and buy the bits necessary for Skip Barber series, decisions.... think I may be getting into it though, if only I were any good :P

Haven't got it yet mate, glad i didnt buy barber in the end anyway seems it was impossible to get a race. Spotted you in the Lotus earlier think thats the school we both joined not sure only really got into it myself the other week.

Stunning car mind, as to be my favourite now :D
