Steam Summer Sale: What's on your list?

It reminds me of Portal or Assassins Creed 1. There's greatness in there, but lost. It was done on a shoe string and lost it's way but the core mechanic was a good one. It deserves a proper sequel.

Mirrors Edge though is essentially a platforming game, there is a reason why platformers are always third person perspective and that's because it works and feels natural to play that way, platforming games just don't work in a first person perspective imo. More power to them for trying something original but sadly just didn't work for me.

Took your advice and got AC brotherhood, planning to get revelations at Christmas sale.

So for someone planning to buy nothing, I bought American nightmare, rise of the samurai, dead space 2, and AC brotherhood. Not bad for 15 quid though!

Isn't this how it always goes - plan to get nothing, end up with a pile of games after a few days, only costs a couple of squid :)

A good haul there btw. I did the same with AC in the last sale, so have just picked up Revelations. Good game so far.

Brotherhood is the best of the series by far.

I now have 147 games. Most of which were exclusively bought during sales. Considering the retail cost versus saving I think I have done pretty well.

Very rarely would I have bought any game at retail price which goes to show that steams business model seems to work well for developers.

The best parts of Mirrors Edge were the first few set piece levels which were entirely free running and platforming. It was fast, fluid and gorgeous. The game fell apart when it degenerated into puzzles and especially shooting.

Pretty sure that would breach the EULA, paying in a different currency, particularly from a completely different region, and would get either those games removed or your account banned.

Yeah that's one thing I would't fancy risking. Especially with the majority of my games being in steam and that fact that you don't actually own the games once you're banned you're pretty screwed XD

my steam sale addiction so far.........

help............................:p

I have 245 games on Steam, pretty much all bought during the sales over the years. However this sale I have not bought anything even though I'm more into gaming than I ever have been before.. Think it's because I own nearly everything oops.
