Hi guys,
I've pretty much been upgrading my rig in chunks for over a year now and the outstanding component I haven't upgraded is my PSU.
I think it is a OCZ GameXStream 600 Watt. The 600 watt part I am sure of. I bought this power supply when I built my first core2duo machine which must have been back in ~2007/8 I think.
My current system is as follows;
CPU: Intel i5 2500K Overclocked to 3.8GHz w/ Antec Kuhler 620
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z68AP-D3
Memory: Kingston HyperX Genesis 8GB
Graphics card: Nvidia GTX670 2GB OC Edition
Soundcard: Asus Xonar D2X 7.1 PCI-E (requires 4 FDD power connector)
Hard-drives: 2x Corsair Force Series 3 120GB SSD's @ Raid 0 and some Maxtor 300GB storage drive.
Based on the above specs of my rig, is it worth upgrading (just checked OCZ website and it appears to be EOL now).
If so can anyone make any recommendations?
My budget is around £60-£120, I would prefer a modular power supply but I wouldn't say no to a decent non-modular, it wouldn't be the end of the world
.
Thanks in advanced.
