*** The Official Google Nexus 7 Thread ***

totally agree - I like the Mifis (don't own one bought have bought one as a present for my parents etc) - BUT it is a bit of a faff to carry seperate devices which need seperately charging etc etc

A 3G 7.7 it is then - a couple days overtime will reward you nicely :D

No I'm good, TBH if people hadn't mentioned it here I wouldn't have noticed.

A tech guy on xda liaised with some tech guys at Google and they told him defo return as it could eventually damage the screens ability to display and the raise spreads out quite far imperceptibly, as angles do, and pressure will eventually break the screen, just repeating what I read not saying it's gospel.

Hmm, pre-ordered one on the 28th, finally cancelled it on the 4th ( sent three email requests ) and the funds held were returned to my account.

Received an email today saying my order had been shipped, and low and behold the funds were out of my bank :(

Not too happy with Google commerce at the moment.

I'm going to try and do some research, but i was wondering

Bluetooth teather, or wifi teahter with my phone (sgs3).

Does bluetooth use less power than wifi? Its been working fine, but trying to figure out which uses less power!

Refuse delivery when it comes.

Received my notification of shipping email, after much thought will also refuse it. I will hold on to the cash and save it towards what tempts me around Q4. GP have done me a favour by being such monkeys.

The two major advantages the iPad (or iOS in tablet form) has at the moment are:

1. The apps are still far more varied and of a far higher general standard. This may not matter, depending on what you do.

2. It syncs up nicely with the iPhone (iCloud, etc), so iPhone users are going to be drawn towards them.

Apps aside, I think Google have got them comfortably matched - if not beaten - on the software front.

Once that app gap starts to close, Apple are going to need something else.

Do you think it's likely to see a product recall across the Nexus 7? Do they only recall products if their is a general health and safety problem? i.e overheating etc.
