Steam Summer Sale: What's on your list?

The repetition totally spoils it for me, I'm left wondering which games would have been on sale if not for the repeats. I just think it removes the suspense from the whole thing. Last year you were waiting for your chosen titles to appear at any discount and if they came up you grabbed them and went away happy. If you missed a game (I fell asleep lol), you were praying for the last day to have a repeat.

This year it seems like a lot of stuff is permanently being repeated and I'm not feeling anything special about it. I've even started ignoring 50% discounts on stuff I'd maybe like because those are popping up the next day at 75% an awful lot.

Steam/Valve are obviously repeating the best sellers to make a **** load of cash. Do you really think they care if a game you want doesn't go on sale. They know what's selling and they know what to repeat.

Krater looks different and a bit refreshing. I like the cool video music. However, unless something really great comes up I don't think I'll get much else. Like most, I've got ample games to be getting on with which will take a while, especially as I usually end up modding the same few games. :D

Ikr! ****ing ridiculous! I can understand sales being repeated in the flash sales AFTER daily deals but not having dailies as repeats!

**** you Valve. **** you.

Excuse me?

I'm just saying that putting repeat deals on the main Daily Deals is rather stupid and annoying.

I think you need to calm down.

But they are doing a sale, and therefore there should be discounts, so shush.
There nothing stupid or annoying about having the same flash deals being repeated in the daily deals

As these repeats is really great for anyone that missed the game/s they wanted when they were in a short flash sale..

It really goes without saying, you should never purchase anything that isn't in the daily deals, the community choice or the flash deals until last day. If they do not come up in the "proper" sale sections and you still want them for a smaller discount that is when you purchase them, otherwise as many have learnt you'll end up regretting it when they do come up at a bigger discount later in the sale.

Nothing that I have seen that has appeared in those three types of deals has appeared later at a cheaper price.

so glad fallout NV came back on sale again, i didnt get it when it was on a flash sale in the hope the DLC pack would be cheaper than buying the whole game + DLC again (which i did so meh!)

So far:

GTA complete pack -£4.99
Fallout 3 GOTY - £3.74
Plants vs Zombies - £1.74
Half-Life complete pack -£6.00
Shogun 2: Rise of the Samurai - £1.74
& Terarria - £1.59

Bloody cracking sale, even though I owe some money. :D

You should only buy games out of the daily & flash sales till the final day of the sale...
As i never know of steam to put any games cheaper then the price they sell it for in there daily or flash sales....;)

I've only bought Meat Boy and that will most likely be it for me, but the sales have been as decent as ever from what I've seen. I could probably count at least 10 titles that have had deep discounts and would have been a purchase for me if I didn't already own them. It's nobody's 'fault' if there aren't enough games that I don't own (and want) so it always makes me laugh when I see others getting their knickers in a twist.

Reality check needed for some, the first couple sales you buy from, you can easily end up with 5+ decent games for next to nothing. But as your library builds it's more realistic that during any sale you'll only see a handful of games you want at a low enough price. Expecting something you want every single day is just silly.
