From looking at his previous posts, using with GNS3. Though I'm struggling to understand the need for 3 of the cards..You've peaked my interest, what are you going to use the lot for?

Correct.I'm going to use that 2950 switch for now along with the etherswitch modules in some GNS3 routers.
When I have the money, I'll be adding four layer3 switches into the mix. The most reliable method
that I've come across to connect them to virtual routers in GNS3 is a dedicated port on the GNS3 host.
There are other options available, but they each have their problems.

I though GNS3 was just software emulation of routers/switches? Will you have a PC emulating routers and connecting from the PC to the switch so the emulation kind of enters the real world?
