Hmm, sounds like either Trapdoor or maybe Stoppit and Tidyup.
 




sunday mornings early 90's

there was another one i used to watch. a girl and her brother who would go around with a robot who would comment on library footage of stuff like farming. no idea what it was called.
 
I think it must have been stoppit and tidyup, I remember the monsters opening their mouths wide and making those aaaah sounds.

Don't think trapdoor is something I ever watched.
