London

The amount of narrow mindedness in this thread is unreal.
I'm hoping most of idiots in this thread are from older generations.

London, and the whole bloody country is changing, get over it. Let go of your old ideas of what "things" are meant to be like and embrace the change, cause guess what life is still awesome so long as you aren't that guy on the side hating everything.

I love going to London.
90% of the time it has everything that I'm looking for to have a good time. My only quarrel is the high price of public transport.

I'm not a big fan of London - for me it is too large, crowded and dirty. But then again I am a bit biased against big cities - I grew up in the countryside and in the city of Nice (5th biggest city in France, but only about 350,000 people) so I prefer smaller places.

I do like the tube in London, although I'm generally ignorant about which way to go when I'm in a rush as it's not that well signposted. The only other underground I've used is the Beijing subway, which is generally cleaner and much better signposted, although I suppose it's not been around for too long!

This really is the situation right now, London is generally a fantastic multi-cultural place that's full of life and never sleeps. Now in some ways we are paying for the relaxed approach to immigration and the past world domination plans of the Empire, the fact that the UK is very much a mixed race/culture is not a problem, we should embrace and except that the world really is small now.

Says someone that comes from Wigan. Almost LOL worthy. I would probably be correct in assuming that's one of the many arse-ends on England.

I think all Londoners would be crying inside if having the waste their lives in small dump of a town nobody heard/care about. A town such as Wigan.

+1

Shame Cheets cant reply though lol:p

I drove through Wigan yesterday. Everyone seemed to be enjoying the sun by sitting in their drive way next to a busy road drinking lager. It's grim as hell:D

Yeah...Wigan is not exactly the Jewel in the Crown of the North but you can rent a 3 bedroom house, with a back yard and huge kitchen for £450 pcm and be in Manchester City Centre in 20 mins on the train :D

I dont live in Wigan - I live in Manchester...even tho Wigan Council take my bins away, my address says Manchester...WIN :p

Edit: half and half about London. Love the art galleries and stuff. Love all the different funky little random shops and restaurants. But...cant stand the huge amount of people and the general air of superiority - but you get that in most capital city's imo.

The best time I have had in London was walking along the Themes - opposite the London Eye - at 10pm at night in August. It was relatively quiet and the view was great :)
