Virus? My computer was locked apprently by West Yorkshire Police! Pic inlcuded

I was on youtube just casually listening to some music and a massage appeared. I couldnt get it off my screen, tried crtl + alt + delete and still nothing. Turned my computer off and on again and the massage has appeared so im guessing it was a virus or something? I dont even download or anything, just use facebook really lol. Should I be worried?

My friend has had the same thing on his laptop yesterday, not had a chance to look at it yet, but assuming virus/malware too.

Yeah virus/spam, a friend of mine here in Holland had the same (but with the dutch police), he called up the local office and they told him it was a load of ****.

He eventually formatted and reinstalled windows just to be sure.

Weirdest virus message ever, all I would do is boot using a pendrive install such as puppy linux then backup everything you need onto another memory stick or network drive.
Then just format, and reinstall.
