no gtx 660 till august?

Well we already know it will be about gtx570 performance but does that mean just over or under.
Price wise I expect £200 again just over or under, we will have to wait and see.

570 performance? I thought I'd read they said it'd be around 580 levels, if not a bit higher.

I reckon they'll weigh in at £250 for custom coolers and £10-15 cheaper for reference designs.

I've seen some leaked pictures and the heatsink looks even smaller than the 670 one
Some sites are reporting 2gb ram but with a 192-bit bus, don't know how that would work:confused:

I think these cards will be decent at 1080p but their performance will drop off like a lemming above that.

don't mind that, if nvidia will price the card right, but if they call anything more than 240£, it want be worth it to buy it.
Hd 7870 you can have it these days for 207£,with none reference cooler from Sapphire.

Hope the release means a price drop of all nvidia cards. They've nothing worth buying under the 670. Amd's crappy drivers keeping nvidia in the game. I really want to make the move to nvidia. Fingers crossed!

one thing I have noticed is dollars = euros for graphics cards.

I would say it will be 300 dollars, 300 euros, and 250 pounds.

UK retailers tend to slap a hefty premium onto cards with custom coolers though so i expect it be a bit more for some models.

then I would never buy this card, not worth it.
i would rather don't eat for a week and cough up 40£-50£ for gtx 670

An old 4850 :o well overdue for a new system. Set aside £200ish for a gpu - nvidia's cards in that price range are a pish take. Have seen 7950s as low as £250. What has nvidia got, 570s for £190 and 580 for £280 ? Pfff  most annoyed by the stagnant 580 Prices.

Grab a 480 at under £200 and clock it as fast as a 580, it's a no brainer really.:)

I tested bf3 with a mate who has a 7970, both ran ultra settings, same res, he had 4AA, I had none but had my post AA set to high, he had no post AA, I was only 10fps behind him, I was lol as he just spent twice as much as a 480 cost's for only 10 fps more.

Don't get caught wanting the latest cards when there is nothing a 480 can't handle at reasonable settings on a single res.

yeah but you can find them in hot deals for 240£
used go for 150-180£

Best scenario: Since Nvidia seen AMD completely dominate the mid range for such a long time, they decide to radically slash the price of the 660 to compete

Most likely scenario: Its a little bit better than the 7850/7870 at a slightly cheaper price

Worst case scenario: Stupid over pricing causing everyone to stick with AMD

Worst case is that there's no shakeup of current pricing, as it can't get any worse. So its worth waiting and see.

bf3 runs better on nvidia cards compared to ati, everybody knows that ;p
