Been thinking of doing this myself lately, just me & a camera as there a plenty places near me or not to far away that are great for walks & taking pictures.

But it getting the motivation just to it, and spend the day out in the countryside by myself.

In the past it always been with either mates or girlfriend ect, & never actually on my own.

So do you regularly just get up and go somewhere on your own, or do you need to have somebody with you when out & about?

I've been doing it more and more recently, sometimes it's just nice to disconnect form everything and there are some pretty sceninc areas where I live.

I've been thinking of doing this, but the weather has decided to stifle my plans... When it's sunny again I intend to have a wander through the countryside with my camera

Most evenings I'll go for a 6-10k walk, mostly for health reasons, but I certainly appreciate the scenery (<3 the peak district).

A walk or a cycle, sometimes it just nice to get away from the hectic life for a bit. I often go for a stroll during lunch at work. Or find a nice lake to cycle around with my camera when the sun's out.

I do this quite often and usually armed with a camera. It’s a great way to clear your head, gather your thoughts and of course you get to enjoy the scenery, wildlife and the weather.

not armed with a camera but armed with a bull terrier and rottweiler. nothing better than watching your dogs chase rabbits in the woods in the middle of nowhere

Done it loads of times in the lakes , just me , a camera and a big mountain to walk up

I prefer a bike, walking is agonisingly slow. Wind through hair, going down hills is certainly stress relieving. I want to do it more often but don't find the time, and my bike has 2 flat tyres :(

Yes, but more on the bike, just nice to get away from everyone and everything and have some stress free time to my self.

Never alone, but walking with my young child opens my eyes to all the things I had forgotten from my childhood.

Up until recently I'd be off hiking on my own quite a bit. I might go this sunday if the weathers not too bad.

Do it, it's good to get out and drop the pace of life to a walk, with only your thoughts for company in the countryside.
Have comfortable shoes though :p

Sounds a bit *****...

I used to love going on walks when I lived close to the coast, would be amazing during sunrise and sunset.
Then I moved to a city and the best place you can walk here is across the river Tyne which is about a 30 minute walk from where I live and it's noisy and full of tourists.
