Never saw the appeal of tattoos. Seeing old men with tattoos covering almost their whole head other than their face is disgusting.

If your son wanted one though he would have got one (AFAIK you need to be over 18 but places will do if your under). So does it really matter that your ex did it? Unless she like tied him down and then did it.
