*** Official NBA 2012/2013 season ***

Lakers are building a solid team if they can get Howard (with Bynum going the other way, Lakers still retain Gasol). Feel a little bit sorry for the Rockets, but hey at least they got Jeremy Lin right?

Solid? It's championship team that. It's last roll of the dice to an extent and Lakers accepting that they will bum the roster long term to have another championship tilt whilst Kobe is still around but even I would struggle to call Heat against that lineup.

The game is a joke, such an exhibition from the US. Don't even need to try.

Seats weren't QUITE as good last night, sat in the NBA PR seats on the baseline;

2nd is a link to a video :)

The Bulls have signed Nazr Mohammed from OKC as a back up Centre, so the Bulls are unlikely to match the offer from the Rockets on Asik

Rockets are doing alright in the off season. The Bulls have pretty much done all there work and replaced the guys that have left now, when Rose gets back i can see this being a better Bulls team than the last few years.

Henrich - Solid SG/PG, will start instead of Rose at Point Guard but once Rose is back he will slot into a bench role

Vladimir Radmanović - SF/PF, a very capable shooter and could rotate well with Boozer.

Marco Belinelli - SG, will be back up to RIP but wouldnt be surprised if he sees a good 20 to 25 mins a game.

Jimmy Butler - SF, had an awesome Summer League getting some big numbers, really looks ready for this year.

Marquis Teague - PG, looked ok for a 19 year old PG in the summer league, got a lot to learn but hinrich and Rose will be good players to learn off and he has a good opportunity to give Thibbs a headache if he can have a nice start to the season as back up to Kirk.

And we still have Taj Gibson on the bench too and there have been hints that the Bulls could do some switches to a non conventional Center position this year like they did with Kirk Thomas back in 2010/11, in order to get Noah some rest...

anyway, that wasnt really meant to be a team report, got carried away.

Hehe easy to do! :D

Still gutted about Scola being amnestied though, longest tenured Rocket is ~2.5 years now in Kevin Martin (who I don't rate :()

Yeah I think Scola will be a big loss, as for Martin, hes a pretty good player to have around, with Lin there and Asik out there, Martin should be back over that 20PPG mark without a problem, and hes a really good scorer, and it will be good to see him playing a full season, think he only showed up for half a season in 2011/12. Plus you got some great youngsters coming through, Motiejūnas, Johnson (who had a good rookie season with the Celtics), Terrence Jones, Jeremy Lamb, Moore (who should have good chemistry with Johnson), not made my mind up on Morris, he didnt play enough last year, and Patterson (who needs to step up now but looks alright) and they are all 23 or under.

Dont think I can look beyond USA getting that Gold medal to be honest... Durant, James and Kobe, damn thats just too much for Spain to defend imo...

Heat v Celtics opening night of the new season, Allen to have a stormer? :p

The guys over at NBA Schedule HQ sure know how to schedule the opening day and Christmas... Shame that due to work this year I wont be able to catch most of the first half of the season until the NFL is over anyways...

Howard to the Lakers, Bynum to the 76'ers, Igoudala to the Nuggets and what's left headed to the Magic + a bunch of future 1st round picks! Insane!
