Like most of the people I know I used to hate going to school...Now I miss the time I was allow not doing anything for so long! I miss the time with my classmates and my friend instead of working and stressing.

i miss first school a lot, middle school a little, high school not at all.

i miss the lack of responsibility and the opportunity and having all my mates in one place.

No, it was nearly 20 years ago but I can comfortably say I've never been happier than I am now.

If you're looking back to being a money less powerless child you're doing something badly wrong.

No, I still go there. I mean, it's a long time since I was actually of school age but I just like the vibe, you know? The youngsters having fun, playing their sports games in the fields. The click of my camera as I take another pic - wait, wrong forum.

i am (fairly) happy. it's the fact i didn't realise the opportunity or just how fast life goes. life has gone extremely quick for me since i left school.

When was that?

We live very long these days so if you're under 40 I'd honestly not give a ****. You're probably in your early 20's though in which case I'd double not a give a ****

i left school in 1996. and i understand what you're saying about the age not mattering so much these days, still, no one told me life goes so fast. well, ferris beuller did, i just didn't take it in :p

Not old then, but honestly you should be more worried about what you haven't done than what you haven't achieved.

Done = Experienced btw, in case it's not clear.

I don't miss school or Uni at all. They're part of your life and you enjoy them or endure them, depending on how things work out, and then you move on to something else.

I'm always slightly wary of those who miss those 'gool old school days'. Friends of ours have a friend like this and he's hopelessly socially inept and broken in a number of alarming ways and often talks about missing his school days and the people he knew then. He's mid thirties which is very depressing :(

So tell them them for Christ's sake!

He (and it is usally he) didn't get up in the morning wanting to be a failure as a human being, how on earth they can carry on calling them their friend while perpetuating this delusion I don't know.

If they won't I expect you to. You'd do it on the forum.

1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th years sucked (year 7-10 for you young 'uns), but GCSE year and 6th form rocked. Great social life in those 3 years, kinda miss it, although uni was great too.

I wish I knew then what I know now....I would have totally owned the school, and probably murdered quite a few of the scrotes as well, so maybe it was best that I didn't know then what I know now actually.

Making fuse testers

i remember making one of those, a timber base which we then moulded out of plastic in a vacuum former and mine actually worked. my spinning top in metal work wasn't so successful, i must've scrapped an A2 sized sheet of metal trying to make the darn thing!
