Best game ending ever?

As a follow on from the 'worst' thread. Just finished Fear 3 and I was pretty impressed with that I must say. Loved F.O.3., AC brotherhood and Riddick-Athena.
Any other good curtain closer's out there?

Knew that would get some attention. Yeah, I know. I must be the only person that liked it. Probably because it was the first game I properly got into and finished. It also took over 200 hours of my time (inc DLC). :eek:
 
I know its a console game but I like Metal Gear Solid 4's ending. Though it was quite epic. I can think of more games that have great end of games rather than the atual ending to be honest. Love the end sections of The Darkness and Prey.
 
I loved the endings of all the Metal Gear games, although personally enjoyed the endings in the order of 1,4,2.....3.

Also Portal 2's ending was pretty good, "I'm in space"... "Space"... "Spaaaaaaceeeeee!"
 
This is interesting. Shows you that no matter how much money and effects you throw at a game, it's the simple and effective formula of humour and playability that wins everyone's heart. And oh sooo cute little lethal robots! :)
 
Metal Gear Solid 4. All those hours I sank into those games over the years. Brought a wee tear to me eye it did. :)

Final Fantasy VIII had a pretty epic ending too, preferred it to VII.

I liked it too, and so do many people I know of :p
