Spec me an office-friendly time-killer

I'm at work, it's dead, I can legitimately do whatever I want, provided I am: at my desk in case the phone rings, not using speakers/headphones, not rinsing the office bandwidth with gif pages. I also can't install anything (legitimately anyway).

I've scoured the depths of GD, flicked between FB and OcUK a thousand times, caught up with my fav webcomics, and made it over the hill in CLOP. What else can I do?

Tried that, it isn't conducive to office work. You can only organise your desk so many times, and sitting still at a desk...?

I will try these games EDIT: don't have permissions to install them :(

I like to learn coding via youtube (or my brain melts) so I'll save that for home.

Can't use headphones because I may need to answer a phone, and the boss's boss is paying a visit today so we need to be able to look busy.

Can't install minecraft :(
 
How about flash games websites? Loads of those. Armor Games, Newgrounds, etc. You can kill a fair bit of time there. I've just spent a couple of hours on Legend of the Void 2 at armor games. Flight is a good time-killer. Toss the Turtle. Cyclomaniacs (1 and 2). Many games to pass the time with. A lot of them are rubbish, but there are some real gems.

EDIT: If you want some interesting reading material, http://www.sciencedaily.com/ has a lot of short summaries about new scientific discoveries. It's a sort of science-only newspaper.
