Game to show console buddy that PC gaming looks better

just show him the resolution difference. knock it down to 1280x720 then show him frame rate difference between 30 for console (using EVGA precision or something else) and whatever your PC outputs. bearing in mind consoles only max at 30 and probs average mid 20's.

also explain a lot of games run at a lower res than 1280x720 (cod for e.g.)

dont forget FOV aswell. lol

Any game?, higher resolution plus AA will make the game look much better alone. If he honestly can't say it looks better with just that, tell him he's a twit and get a new mate :D

Your buddy is either trolling or really that ignorant.

The PC versions of Resident Evil 5 and Lost Planet 2 in comparison to the PS3/360 versions should be perfect examples to show graphical and performance differences.

Games like Mafia 2 looked better on my old 8 series graphics card dual core compared to my 360. I think what strikes me the most is the difference in picture quality even though it says its 1080p it doesn't look it.

Put a game to console level detail and ask if he can see a difference then show the difference by upping the settings. Also try grand theft auto 4 with ICenhancer.

Ok well first he may be mad, wont lie he cant see it, draw distance? No idea he thinks he can see far as he likes in any game. Aliasing? Cant figure it out, cant understand WANTING blurry edges. He is a nightmare. Long story short he cant understand why ive invested in an i7 with a 7950.

What would show him for comparison? Skyrim didnt work, borderlands didnt, dirt showdown didnt. All maxed on ultra +++

Help

Well then image quality obviously isn't an issue for him ?

Stop trying to force your opinions on him.

Stop trying to justify your upgrades to yourself by getting others to approve them and play some damn games?

If he doesn't understand then fine. You have different priorities. Image quality obviously being much higher on your list than on his. No amount of demonstrating games to him will change that.

I play on both console & PC and i'm well aware that the PC can look better than the console. Doesnt stop me playing most of my games on the console though.

metro 2033 running sli with 3d vision in dx11 with at least AAA and you have a winner for most breathtaking interactive experience ever created.

Most sense ever. Just play games, why belittle him for not wanting to spend money on a PC?

His mate really needs his eye's tested as it's night and day. To be honest each to their own, If people want the best experience then save up and go pc. If your not THAT bothered then go the console route. I have both but barely touch the 360 or PS3 but for his mate not too see if difference his just him being a total ****. Probably a hint of jealously in there when he try's hard to not to see the difference.

I agree that PC's do look better but I can't justify spending the amount of money needed to upgrade my aging rig to a decent spec to just play games on. The ps3 suits me down to the ground, for the occasional use, big screen and ease of use, turn it on disk in and play, non of the update drivers due to it crashing. ( might have changed since I was into pc gaming so pc could also be easy to use.)

If I had it my way then I would be going down the pc route, but the wife would probably go nuts at me for spending that amount for a machine thats used once a week at most!!

How about rather than spending your money on brand new compontants spend money of parts a couple years old. Still perform well for much less money. I have my pc hooked up to my 3 monitors but when I want to chill out sit and play on the big 42" with a controller with less hassle of gettging a disc and popping it in as I just click play on steam and my games very rarely crash. I can see your point on if your only playing once a week thoug.
