lost odyssey amazing

I finished the 1st disk at Christmas but haven't played it since, the rate of random encounters started to annoy me, especially after playing games like Blue Dragon/Eternal Sonata where you can pretty much choose if you want to battle. Plus Mack and Cooke are annoying :p.

I may have jumped the gun a little bit with my expectations. Storyline is a bit more interesting now that Kaim has decided to say more than 1 word in a cut scene. The introduction of the new characters has been welcoming too.

Still think some of the cut scenes are gash and the voice acting atrocious. Jansen still hasn't stopped getting on my teets either !!

Holy thread revival Batman!

Currently on a week of of holiday and was looking for an RPG to play, came across this in my collection and remembered I never completed it.

I've started the game again and haven't put it down all day, really good pacing in the story department and combat is fun too!

The "Thousand years of dreams" is pretty awesome too, the 1st one had my girlfriend crying while reading it, I on the other hand was completely manly! ;)

Anyone else playing this recently? I guess people are more likely to dust it off and give it a playthrough again?

Bought a 360 and this game just this week. The console hasn't arrived yet so I can't play it and the DVD drive needs fixing but I'm really looking forward to playing it. Can't get enough of me Turn based RPGs!

I've stopped for the evening, need to make dinner and the g/f wants to continue with the Star Trek movie marathon.

I'll definitely be back on it tomorrow though! :D

Oh christ....I now officially need to buy this game again. I loved it, The stories you unlock throughout the game. Brilliant in their own right.

I loved how challenging the game was too, Dont match or counter elemental properties, Count yourself dead :D

The problem I had was I lost my save almost at the last boss. I've never had the heart to complete the entire thing again to see the ending :(

Really ought to one day!

one of the earlier 360 games that really benefitted from installing on the hard drive

Saw this thread yesturday, now ive gone and started it again. I really do love the "1000 year dreams" they are brilliantly told. Every story is pretty touching and, im gonna get them all this time with the help of my walkthrough:D

Lol I'm glad to see that I've rekindled the love of this game for some people! :D

I've been playing it all morning, just finished disc 1 I'd forgotten just how interesting the skill system was, the immortal spin is awesome! :D

I couldn't continue the game when those kids' voices were like this:

Easy solve for the voices. Chuck it on Japanese and just read the subtitles. I find the Japanese voices much more bareable.

The game is just sitting there, looking at me as if to say "Play me already!" and I really want to. The 360 hasn't even come yet and I forgot to order a 360 tool to get the console open so that'll come after the console most likely. Then I have to open the console and see what DVD drive it uses and then wait another 2-3 days for the new laser to arrive :(.
