I suppose because he's famous, rightly or wrongly. In the same way if the Queen dies right now, I expect it will front page news tomorrow, despite the fact loads of people die and she was just born into the role.
It must be horrendous for a women to carry full term and then have to deliver a dead baby.
Don't think she carried to term, did something not occur, (lack of movement etc) and then induction would be the usual method of removing the foetus in the late stages of pregnancy. It is referred to as a stillbirth, but it quite different to the child dying during labour. I thought a midwife told me she was several weeks early. Might be wrong, but I completely agree with your comment, after our daughter was born, we waited for 3 minutes of oxygen puffs for her to breathe, it was simply the most awful period of time, but thankfully she did breathe and all went well.
