As the title says, I cannot find the Demo yet when I search for it, it says there is a demo, when I click on it, it just takes me to the purchasing page. Any ideas?

I bought it, I love my rpgs... but I got soooo bored, terrible game in my opinion. There might be some game play videos on youtube :)

It also has a weird system, you can only grind in certain places or the game becomes to hard. If you have a guide you will be OK but I don't like using guides so I never got very far into it.

That's why I want it, because I really want to get a JRPG because I do quite like the playstyle when I'm in the mood for it, just can't stand the lameness most of them come with, why can't they be more like Street Fighter as far as awesome plots and characters go? :D

Anyway, I definitely loved the way this looks, Dragons and whatnot, most JRPG's have you fighting magical pink unicorns that can fire torpedo's out their arses, TLR looks pretty gritty and real. I'm really confused though as to why the Demo isn't on Steam anymore? Or let me guess, its not available in Europe? ;)

Graphics and story are quite good, but there is just SO many loading screens, quite a few bugs, lack of choice of weapons for anyone but your main character and quite a bad leveling system (it works out better to avoid combat for the first half of the game rather than farm). I never finished it in the end, just too tedious.

How long did you play for? takes a fair while to get going but the game becomes very good later on.Certainly isn't a terrible game but can understand you saying that if you only played for 1-2 hours as the start does seem boring.

Played many many rpgs and i would rate Last Remnant as one of the ones up there....mainly because it's unique especially in it's battle system which is quite strategically satisfying later on.The demo sucks do not bother with it....you can get the game for £5 or so now delivered which activates on Steam or GMG have it £9.99 though it was £2.50 recently which was silly price.

I agree with that somewhat Voorhees but should give it more of a go when you can and give it a chance some good boss battles in it.:)

I'm only looking for one JRPG though, to play from time to time and the rest of the modern ones are too... I don't know, I liked Lost Odyssey on 360, but TLR has always been there for me, just never considered buying it until now, it looks fantastic.

Where can I get a steam version for a fiver? :D

Thanks for ze info people.

Seems prices have risen on it, i remember a few months ago it was sold on some sites £5 on disc but seems £8.50 from Amazon is best price i could find.....it's £8 on GMG with PCGMR-GREEN-SUMMR code.Since you liked Lost Odyssey you should like this a lot.Just a tip too, give every item you find to any characters that ask for them it enables them to craft really good weapons for themselves.

The only similarities it has with Final Fantasy games is the turn-based system, that's about it. This game is much more closer to the SaGa series where much of the development team came from.

I will agree with some of the above posts that this game is quite boring and tedious initially, but if you put more time into it, it opens up a lot and the battles can become incredibly epic & strategic if you know what you are doing. Either way the PC version is so much better then the 360 one though.

Amazon is also the cheapest I seen for the retail disc and personally I would still get it. The game uses Steam anyway so unless you are either anal about shelf space or you have slow Internet speeds (The game is around 11.9GB total), then I would say it is the way to go for convenience.

I think I'll get it from Greenmangaming :) Thanks for all the info guys, but can you let me know a rough estimate on total campaign time? I'll probably not replay it because JRPG's are quite linear (i think?).

Story progression is linear as it is the usual case but as for total campaign time, that depends on how you play it and how good you are.

Going through the main story only, I guess around 20-30 hours or so. Doing everything which includes a lot of the side quests and stuff, easily over 40-50 hours.

The leveling up mechanic in this game is quite different, or perhaps lack of in a way, so that in turn determines how well and quickly you play.

Took me 72h but i found a lot of stuff....nowhere near everything though which you looking at around 100h probably just make sure you unlock the ancient ruins also the pc version has extra party characters like the generals.:)

Yeah 100+++ hours would be more realistic if you were to go for everything.

Most I've personally done is just over 200, and I bet there was still plenty of things I missed out.

Would love to give it another go one day but I already have too many other JRPGs especially on the PS3.

Sounds like its great value for money then, pushed me into making a Greenmangaming account, which wasn't a bad move as the service was great, downloading it now! I'm pretty excited!
