"You spent the afternoon drinking and then for reasons which I suspect will never be clear, you got into your lorry and drove for about 10 miles the wrong way up the M6 motorway with your lights off.

I bet a few motorists almost had a heart attack seeing this lorry coming towards them...

Quite a light sentence really but guidelines will have dictated it I imagine.

Thoroughly deserved, imagine what might have happened, he even had his lights off, its only massive luck no one was killed.

I can understand how this can happen, but I still dont get why he didnt stop.
Iv been hammered many a time (not driving of course) but if I was in that situation it wouldnt be to much brain power to figure out that im driving the wrong way!

Those three lorry drivers had balls. They deserve that reward.

I think they deserve more than £250 each. They went out of their way to knowingly put their lives at risk to save others and they sat there waiting for it. They knew that if he didn't stop, whichever one of them was in the same lane would be killed. They also knew that he was acting extremely irrationally, so they couldn't be sure he'd stop.

My first thought seeing that video was that this was his way of trying to kill himself but couldn't go through with it.

I find it hard to believe that he didn't realise he was going the wrong way, even if he was out of his head.

Good on those lorry drivers that managed to stop him, was risky doing what they did and a full on collision at high speeds could have caused many deaths (of the drivers and possibly of all the other vehicles driving around that could have been hit). £250 seems a tiny amount for what they did, and they could have just kept on driving by and ignored it. At least they do get some recognition and a bit of money though.

I wonder what blood alcohol level the driver was at when the police arrived, he must have been completely out of it to do that.

Being drunk is no excuse for such crazy behaviour. He got off lightly in my opinion, the outcome of his actions could have been so much worse...

I would have thought the guys would have been rewarded more than £250... Considering they risked their own lives, and possibly saved others.
