What are the chances of CoD4: Modern Warfare going on a sale in Steam?

Topic. The only game I've seen go anywhere near the Steam sales is MW2 at half price, which is meh, I want CoD4. So what do you guys think the chances of it ever coming on sale?
 
Fairly low tbh, they might maybe do an Activision bundle sale or something at some point during the christmas period, etc. or maybe a special offer about the time of the next modern warfare game, probably not for black ops as its a slightly different line.
 
I've very rarely seen it on sale mainly because it's so popular. I got lucky a few years ago just before they were releasing Modern Warfare 2. Activision put every Call of Duty game for sale for £20 all the way from the 1st one to World at War, not seen a sale like it since.
 
That's pretty disgraceful, its 5 years old yet just because its still selling a few copies, they keep it at a stupid price.

Also, if it doesn't activate on Steam I don't want it. I've got the Steam curse. :p
 
Don't see how that's disgraceful, it's still the best COD game and people are still buying it at it's current price, look at CS:S for example.

Stop being so cheap and get it, you'll definitely get your £20's worth! :p

I hear ya brother, i only started using Steam this year an im up to 78 games already.

So you could buy it dirt cheap at retail but won't because you want to buy it through a piece of software notorious for having it's prices fixed ludicrously high, you answer your own question re. Why they are so high several times but still carry on complaining anyway? ???

It doesn't have steamworks integration or VAC, so the only advantage in having the steam version is the patches, and they are all easy to find anyway.

Many games that aren't properly integrated with steam never get good deals. ETQW is another example.

x5 as many people on it daily than bf3 just come of it :p

numbers don't lie its one of the best fps all round.

think you can get it for a tenner if you look about

I will give you my old key, I haven't played it for a long time. It's not a steam key btw, you will need to acquire a CD from somewhere.

Trust me.

Nah thats okay mate, thanks though :) I'll just wait for it to come on sale, I have too much to do at the minute but would love to grab a steam copy, patience is the key. :D
