I used to play this non-stop when I was younger.

Does anyone know whether it'll ever make a comeback?
 
Unfortunately TheStig is correct.
MS bought Rare and then used this once great developer to develop **** Kinect games. Such a waste.
 
I think you will find Rare have been recruiting for supposed AAA titles for next gen consoles, so it shouldnt be Kinect games (hopefully) :)

Not sure who owns the rights though..
 
I played this again a few months back man I used to be so good at this when i was a kid and now im just pants .

excellent game though.
Rare are nothing now in my eyes.
 
If Rare still do have the rights. They should sell or let NetherRealm Studios buy it off them. Then NetherRealm Studios should make a 2D Killer Instinct using Unreal Engine 3, released it on XBLA and PSN. Everyone would be happy:)
 
I could never manage an ultimate combo. Used to be able to do Orchid's, Cinder's, Fulgore's and Jago's combo.
Frigging loved that game. Would love to see a remake or a KI3.
 
Get the Ultra64 Emu + Arcade KI it's so much fun.

I have fond memories of playing the crap out of the arcade machine KI while on holiday at Skegness as a kid :D

Sony fan till the end of time but can't help but rate MS for giving Rare the green light to make this.
