Well the next event day is 12th september when they do "new iPhone" so I am clinging onto the straw of hope that they bundle in the ivy bridge update to the iMac and the mac mini...

I don't think they will upgrade.

I have a source on the inside, works at Apple California and there's no talk of it at all only the Iphone 5.

Just the thought of a 27" screen with an even higher res than the current one makes me gooey. Until then my 2010 Mini and HP ZR24W will soldier on.

Why is it so hard to believe are you saying that Everyone that works at Apple don't have friends on the outside just incase they spill the beans on 1 drunken night?

Because Apple don't tell their own employees anything either unless they have to.

I actually do know someone (well two people but I know one better than the other) who works for Apple Corporate in London.

Guess how much he ever gets to know about new products? **** all. And if he did know he would NEVER tell anyone.

You do not rise high in Apple without being 100% company through and through - no one who knows anything of any importance (which is almost no one anyway) would ever dream of telling anyone. Everyone else gets told precisely nothing.

Well that proves my point, my contact was out on a drunken night when he told all of us whats going on and what is coming out. Apple employees do get told. I guess the person you told was a Office temp or something as he was clearly out of the loophole.

The point is nobody knows. All rumours. Wait until Sep/Oct and if still nothing make a decision to either wait until the 2013 model comes out or jump on the 2011 model.
