im tempted to pay £65 for the deluxe, but not sure its worth £15, someone convince my wallet :p

Only Zavvi the official distributor for the CE offered head start access on the Collectors Edition. I'm afraid your brother will need to wait till the 28th.

I bought the deluxe when I was caught up in the hype when it first went on sale. I do feel the better value for money however is to get the basic version and spend the extra £15 on in game gems.

A CPU upgrade will help a LOT.

My wife's Q6600 @ 3GHz was chugging along in the first couple of BWE's, upgraded her to a i3 2120 @ 3.3GHz and BAM smooth as a babies bottom!

I was very surprised at just how much better it ran on the i3 than the Q6600.

Should run it pretty well. My wifes PC is an i3 2120 + GTX460 1GB and it handles it fine. Not maxed out obviously, but mix of high and med settings with FXAA.

It's a valid point, however for me it's worth getting the £50 version direct from ANet, I like the money going straight to them for one, also I don't think the value of the 3 day headstart is that bad personally. Especially when you consider the first days of an MMO are often some of the best days you can have!

Also it's a bank holiday Monday which is doubly awesome!
