Does the RT kit allow wireless E-TTL or flash control at least? It's something I'd opt for over the Yongnuo RF-602 kit I currently have!

Yep completely wireless.

pixsylated has some good video reviews..

Only small downside is not AF beam assist on the trigger but it's not a huge problem. Videos here as well...

Far cheaper than pocket wizards, especially when the RT drops a touch when they are easier to find and buy :)

Any idea on the price though? Does the yongnuo ST-E2 version do E-TTL? I had the canon ST-E2 and that did TTL (not sure about E-TTL though) over wireless really well, even with a yongnuo flash.

The Yongnuo I linked above is £63 for a pair or £30 odd for one. I need 4 as I have 3 flashes.

Only thing I am trying to figure out is if they (2) can be used as a wireless shutter release system like the RF-602 can, if they can then I can sell the RF-602 kit I have currently. I'd also have to sell the 2x YN-560 flash guns I have and buy the updated model that supports E-TTL, they're about £45 each.

They do full TTL yes and support the 5D Mk III and others that support remote flash control from the camera menu.

Setting up flashes in the corners of dance floors and things then running around adjusting power levels is not very productive when TTL can manage it automagically :p

Any form of TTL. My YN 560s are full manual hence the desire for a TTL system, in this instance it would be ETTL supported by design.

I'm a huge fan of think tank bags. Can't see me ever using anything else.

Whats the quality like compared to lowepro? I've got a nova 200 which is made out of waterproof material that is very strong. Doubt I'd ever need better, but its nice to know my options incase I do at some point!

Oh miles better, night and day difference in quality of materials, seams, and straps. I've had plenty of lowepro bags and usually you can pick them up on sale at really good prices but in total honesty I'd rather pay more for better quality and that doesn't scream "I'm carrying camera equipment" :D

Interesting, I'll look into it if I need to carry all my equipment somewhere, which at the moment I don't really need to do! Two of my lenses have big leather hard cases to keep them safe so I don't have them in my camera bag anyway (for now).

I haven't tried the ThinkTank bags, but LowePro are one of the lowest quality well known bag brands out there in my opinion; not bad to start with, but once you invest more in your gear it's worth investing more in your bag too.

My new pride and joy, wanted one since... well a long time!

And here it is paired with my beasty lens... it takes a lot to swamp this body but boy does this lens do it!

Great combo. How many clicks on the D3? Seen that the second hand prices on them have finally come down to really nice and reasonable levels since the D4 came out :D
